Journey Back to Akrivel
This first day brought the party north - northwest, midday traveling past the lower reaches of the Cliff-Top Temple that Gerhard Pendergrast attempted to destroy, into a pristine portion of the jungle where they set up camp for the evening, allowing the party a full night’s rest. During the travels there was plenty of small talk with the rescued slaves, learning more tidbits about their former lives, perspectives, religious practices, and more.
A Welcome Arrival
The Regulators fully rested after turning in for the night in the Sanctum Entrance, one of the few rooms without death and blood splatters, and secure enough to defend against intruders. Taking time to gather supplies for the long march back through the jungle, the group was greeted by the Ekujae scouts of the advance party for the Leopard, River, and Moon clans closing in on the fortress, now that the curse has been fully lifted. They were there to escort any survivors back to Akrivel, while the clans made plans to restore the broken lands that the Cinderclaws desecrated.
Moonday, Erastus 8th, 4719 AR
Journey Back to Akrivel Continued
The second day of travel took till dusk, as the party reached Akrivel. Tired and famished, the Regulators and former slaves were given separate large huts to sleep, and shown the bath gardens to clean up. Zarah, Jaina and Kumi each made their way into the Regulators hut for protective company and comfort being in an unfamiliar location, regardless of the hospitality shown, and several of you have noticed they’ve appeared to admire their rescuers. While no carnal relations took place, it definitely crossed several of your minds.
Toilday, Erastus 9th, 4719 AR
Jungle Home Away from Home
This day was mostly spent resting, mending nagging wounds and sore muscles, repairing gear, and getting to know the former slaves even more. Gleb and Jethran were very interested in Breachill, and as time went on the rest of them seemed more interested in what the Regulators were building there too. Definitely opened some options for potential hired help. Not much more took place that day, but noticeably, Jahsi, Akosa, Nketiah and the clans had yet to return to Akrivel.
Wealday, Erastus 10th, 4719 AR
Jungle Home Away from Home, Following Day
Jahsi, Akosa, Nketiah and the forces of the three clans arrived at Akrivel early that morning, and soon the platforms were bustling with activity. During the afternoon Jahsi and daughter Nketiah met with the Regulators to thank and update them on what transpired after that morning. With Belmazog defeated and Dahak’s skull destroyed, the Ekujae quickly rout the rest of the Cinderclaws throughout the nearby jungle, and scatter any remaining forces to the outlands. Afterwards the clans destroyed the fortress with their combined magic, and performed a ceremony to cleanse the desecration.
While this most obviously benefits the elves of the Leopard Clan, it also secures Breachill from further assaults through Huntergate, ensuring that the town doesn’t suffer a second invasion of cultists from the Mwangi Expanse. Additionally, the Regulators may have also made important allies among the Ekujae, gaining the reputation of Admired.
Nketiah requested that the Regulators join them for a celebratory feast and ceremony to celebrate their solidified friendship and heroic actions in saving the Ekujae and surrounding lands from Dahak’s minions. Later in the evening, Bru-shlee was escorted by the Ose twins, Ose Atsu & Ose Panin, to their personal chamber for a more intimate engagement that lasted the night. In the morning they offered him a permanent position in their court and more importantly to the twins, as their concubine and helping oversee the Ekujae tribe, one he has yet to make a decision on.
