P2E_Buddy Skill Overview (for Players)
What this is
P2E_Buddy is our private Pathfinder helper bot in Discord.
It answers campaign questions using our Obsidian notes and PF2e quick-reference docs.
How to use it
In #aoa-chronicles, mention the bot:
@P2E_Buddy recap last session@P2E_Buddy who is Barushak?@P2E_Buddy who is in our party?@P2E_Buddy rules check: <question>
If not mentioned, it stays quiet.
What sources it uses
Priority order:
- AoA timeline export (campaign chronology)
- AoA denizens notes
- PF2e rules quickrefs (
PF2e_Core_Search_Indexfirst) - Character docs (
02_Characters) - Session docs (
01_Sessions, weighted to recent in-game relevance) - NPC docs (
01_Campaigns/Age of Ashes/02_NPCs, as they are built out) - Workshop artifacts (threat board)
How it decides what matters most
For story characters/baddies, it weights:
- in-game recency (not IRL session date)
- interaction intensity (fight/interrogation > rumor)
- thread status (unresolved/escaped > dead/closed)
So it prioritizes active threats and open story threads.
Style / behavior
- Spoiler-safe (uses only documented campaign knowledge)
- Concise and table-speed
- Calls out uncertainty instead of inventing rules text
- Gives practical answers first, deep dives only when asked
Current access limits
- Private to our PF group setup
- Only allowlisted users can DM or trigger it
- Guild/channel allowlisted
What it is not
- Not a GM spoiler oracle
- Not public
- Not autonomous (it does not post unless asked)
